Protect Your Pet

Imagine opening your front door, letting your dog outside and not having to worry about him running away or in the busy streets—yet not having to look at an unsightly fence on your property. That is the convenience that an underground pet containment system can provide.

Electronic pet containment systems work by burying a wire, a few inches below the surface, which connect to a transmitter in the garage or basement and sends a radio signal to the collar that your pet wears. The collar sounds an audible warning when your pet gets too close to the boundary and he/she learns to avoid the warning sound. With proper training, your pet will quickly learn where the boundary is and stay safe at home – and out of harms way.

According to Jennifer Hill, of The Canine Fence Co., exclusive provider of Invisible Fence® Brand pet systems, “when purchasing a pet containment system, consumers should only consider brands that focus on three equally important parts: customized installation, personalized pet training and advanced technology. Every dog, property and situation is different. The most effective pet containment system is one that can conform to the size and terrain of the property, and more importantly, the behavior
and temperament of the pet. Having professionals provide a custom installation and personal pet training is critical to a pet’s safety. All this combined with the technology which provides a consistent and safe performance is the formula to guarantee success.”

Hill adds that, “Because your dog is a member of your family, consumers should look for a company who has had experience training more than 1,000 dogs and has a strong business reputation. Being able to provide local customer and veterinarian testimonials is a plus too!”

Invisible Fence® pet systems can also be used to protect landscaping and pool areas with “garden loops” that create an invisible boundary around the area, preventing the pet from going where the owner does not want them to go. There are indoor units that work with the same collars and protect areas inside the house, creating a complete solution for every pet owner. The cost for a fully installed Invisible Fence® Brand system starts at $699, but there are less costly options for those customers who like the do-it-yourself route.

Grooming Fun on the Run

Let’s face it, people lead extremely busy lives, especially in New Jersey. In our fast-paced society, people don’t have time to think about what they want for dinner, let alone plan for any extra activities outside of work, school and family obligations.

What about the needs of the family pet? This family member often takes a backseat to life’s everyday priorities. New Jerseyans love convenience, and mobile pet grooming has found its niche to satisfy the demand for happy and clean pets and their even happier owners.

Mobile pet grooming is the newest rage in an industry that for years required Spike to be lugged to the local pet grooming salon where the pet would be forced to endure the car ride and then the overall experience of being in the salon with other pets, and then left there for hours waiting to be picked up. Mobile grooming puts an end to all these worries.

Mobile grooming is beneficial and convenient for a number of reasons. The only responsibility the pet owner has is to be sure someone is home when the friendly grooming trailer rolls up to the doorstep to pick up the pet. No more drives to the salon, your pet is simply brought into a clean trailer right outside your door. The pet owner has the option of being part of the process and has the bonus of visiting the pet during the groom. The idea of not stressing out the pet any more than necessary is a real perk to this growing industry.

Why is grooming important? With the slew of problems resulting from poor hygiene, including hot spots, dermatitis, fleas and ticks, and matting, regular grooming is vital to the overall health of a pet. A pet should not have to endure hours of painful dematting, or uncomfortable itchy skin, due to the carelessness of an owner. Now with the ability of a groomer to come right to a person’s home, there’s no excuse for a pet to be neglected.

Being groomed is not high on most pets lists of favorite things but mobile grooming allows the pet freedoms that are not possible in a salon. No cages necessary, every pet is cared for one at a time and gets the personal attention it deserves. Cats are getting in on the action too, in a service which was predominantly centered around dogs. Grooming time is cut in half. Once the groom is over, the freshly cleaned pet is delivered right back to the owner and all at an affordable price.

Top quality products, a knowledgeable and trained groomer, and a comfortable, squeaky clean pet are really all you need to get hooked on this latest trend in pet care. Grooming doesn’t get much simpler than this, and your pets will really thank you for spoiling them, don’t they deserve it?
