From our hand-tossed Signature Salad, to our Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella Sandwich served on delicious warm flatbread, to the comfortable, urbane and contemporary atmosphere—Così is simply good taste—a place where all elements combine to stimulate the senses and create a lasting impression. At the center of Così is our hearth, an open-flame stone oven prominently displayed in each restaurant. Our signature flatbread is based on a two millennia-old recipe, similar to the breads first produced by the Romans. Europa Bar and Restaurant is located in the Elmora section of the city of Elizabeth, serving the predominant neighborhood of American, Italian, Irish, Portuguese and Spanish communities. Fernando Carvalho—the founder and owner of Europa Bar and Restaurante—invites you all to come and experience the most exquisite Portuguese and Spanish cuisine hoping that you enjoy eating delicious dishes along with a large selection of wines as much as he does serving you. Carvalho is a native of Vilaverde, in the Minho region and mainland of Portugal. Carvalho, who has been involved in the restaurant business since 1990, utilizes his impressive culinary experience from around the world to prepare the best tasting dishes from Portugal, Spain and the United States. At age 19, he left Portugal for the United States with a dream in mind to open his own restaurant. After working his way up in several restaurants, he finally he realized his dream in 1997 by opening Europa Bar and Restaurante. Some of the notable dishes include Chourico Portugues Flambé (Portugese sausage), Filet Mignon in Porto Wine Sauce and Robalo Chilen Grelhada
(grilled Chillean seabass).
