Ranging from the casual cheese and pepperoni to the exotic buffalo chicken pizza, Saporito Pizza always offers something to remember. Their incredible pies are baked fresh, on the premises using only the best ingredients and hand-tossed home-made dough.

They have delicious pastas, innovative salads, delectable submarine sandwiches and out-of-this-world appetizers. One meal in particular that keeps folks coming back are their
amazing Philadelphia-style cheese steaks.

TARANTELLA'S RISTORANTE

Located in Clark, Tarantella’s Ristorante has been serving up Italian and adapted American classics for more than 10 years. For the past seven years, Chef Michael Pastor has been pleasing his clientele with favorites like Pasta Arrabiata and Chicken Giambotta. The pasta, an Italian staple, is filled to overflowing with Prosciutto, scallions, Portobello mushrooms, hot peppers, tomatoes, and garlic. Not overly spicy, but just piquant enough to push the flavors over the edge. The chicken, another of the house specialties, is golden brown tenders with fried potatoes, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Hot peppers can be added to order. All of the soups are homemade and extremely Italian. The Pasta Fagiole and the ubiquitous Minestrone are chock full of groceries and rich stock. In addition to the sauté items, Tarantella’s
offers a full pizza menu with individual or 18” pies. You can choose from their abundant list of house pizzas, such as Traditional, Classico, Vegetable, Fra Diavolo,
Picante, Pinwheel, Florentine and more. If you have a preference, you can build your own, with a whole wheat crust offered for the carb-conscious eater. Calzones stuffed to the bursting point are on the menus as well. A children’s menu is available for those picky little humans in your family. The dessert menu contains all of the Italian favorites: Spumoni, Tortoni, Tortufo, Tiramisu, Cannoli, rice pudding, and an assortment of sorbets to cleanse the palate. If desserts aren’t your style, you can finish your experience with a hot cup of chocolate, mochaccino, or a café latte; perfect for the upcoming cold winter nights.

Chef Michael and his staff recommend reservations for parties of eight or more. They accept all major credit cards during their operating hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A full bar is on premises that can accommodate all of your libational needs.

16 PROSPECT

“Laugh Loudly, Love Deeply, Eat Well”

Amidst all the construction on Prospect Street in downtown Westfield, number 16 (formerly the Northside Trattoria) has recently undergone renovations, as well as a name change. But patrons need not worry – the superb contemporary Italian cuisine remains the same, if not even better. Just a taste of the many delectable menu offerings, include: a fresh mozzarella salad served over a bed of romaine lettuce, topped with fresh Jersey tomatoes, and pignoli nuts; grilled chicken with sun dried tomatoes served in a home made pesto cream sauce; Shrimp Arrabiata (Angry Shrimp) served with penne in a garlicky tomato ragout, topped with shaved Pecorino Romano.

The excellent food at 16 Prospect is rivaled only by the cozy ambiance in both the candlelit dining room and the newly expanded bar. Owners (and brothers) Timothy and Christopher Boyle, bring classic culinary training and over 20 years of international experience to their venue, which has been serving Union County residents for over ten years. Their attention to detail, real pride in their establishment, and appreciation of their customers is evident now more than ever. The personally selected, handcrafted
interior architecture, live jazz (six nights a week) and full bar offering an eclectic selection of wine, beer and spirits, make them stand out amidst the countless other eateries in the neighborhood.

Whether you looking for a romantic meal or a relaxing after work drink, 16 Prospect is a delicious option.
